James David Hearing Care is a family-run, independent clinical practice based in Hartlepool, specialising in ear wax removal and general ear-health. We operate across Teesside and County Durham.

On top of ear wax removal we’ll also give you full peace of mind on the health of your ears with optional otoscopy examinations and hearing tests in your appointment. We can then link to ENT Specialists across the UK and will connect with your GP Surgery if an NHS referral is required. Private hearing solutions are also available on request.

Your ear health
Your ear health is our number one priority, so if it’s not just wax we can also test your hearing. If your hearing shows a loss when tested, and you wish to act on it, we can help lay out your options within both the NHS and by using our own private hearing aid service. That’s it…no pressure.
Our company founder
David Swinbourne, our company founder and lead clinician, set up the Practice following major changes to public funding in 2020 which meant most people’s access to important ear-health services (such as ear wax removal) was drastically reduced.
Born and raised in Hartlepool, David and has worked across the UK and Europe as a senior Director for some household names in Audiology, is a HCPC registered HAD Audiologist and is a current member of the British Society of Audiology.
